Solarizing Harvard

Solar power is red hot these days! With huge financial incentives provided by the state and federal government, it's a no-brainer that people throughout Massachusetts are installing solar PV panels and solar thermal as never before. One town, Harvard, went so far as to mobilize it's community in a "Solarize Massachusetts" effort resulting in 75 households installing solar panels!  This will result in yearly offsets of carbon emissions by 508,000 pounds. The program ended in October of 2011 but there is no reason why other communities can't adopt a similar approach.
